Week of Prayer for Christian Unity (17-25 January 2022)

This year’s Week of Prayer is going to be held in Felixstowe from 17th -25th January. The overall international theme has been chosen by Christians from the Middle East and we shall be posting daily devotions from Tuesday 18th on our Facebook Page.

Our Community Prayers on Monday 17th will be led by John Gillett of Open Doors who will give a picture of what life is like for many Christians in the Middle East and tell us about the work of Open Doors and its partners in various locations. It will be on Zoom on our usual third Monday of the month.

As in previous years, we plan to hold a Pilgrimage to many of our churches, taking to opportunity to pray outside at each location we visit. We are planning holding this event as it is an outdoors, but this may be subject to change. Please monitor social media and this web page for possible changes before 22nd.

Unfortunately our keynote event of the week, the United service, had to be changed from a face to face service to a live broadcast on YouTube as had been the cast for of our major services in the last 18 months. Details are below. Connection information will be circulated shortly.

Please note that this service will be signed for the deaf and hearing impaired. There will also be a social time on Zoom after the service – details on the advert above.

Daily Devotions

As in previous years we shall be producing the Churches Together in Britain and Ireland’s daily devotions on our Facebook page from Tuesday 18th to Tuesday 25th. They have been produced by Christians in the Middle East. Please use them in your personal devotions or at church prayer times. The complete set can be downloaded and printed below:

The complete CTBI booklet with the devotions in it is below should you wish to take a look at that.
